- Short-leaved Aloe-Aloe brevifolia is an evergreen succulent perennial, easily recognized for forming a decorative rosette. This succulent is not suited entirely for indoor gardening. It should receive sufficient direct sunlight to let it rise in a mature state. This species has a unique characteristic, that its leaves could turn red to yellowish colour, when kept in exposure to direct sunlight. Short-leaved Aloe are thick-leaved succulent, that possess white coloured teeth along the edges of their leaves. Their placement would be relevant for widow sides or home outdoor gardens, etc. And would be ideal as a small-scale groundcover plant or in decorative containers.
Short-leaved Aloe is an easy to care plant.
- They would thrive well when kept in presence of full sunlight. Water them moderately, enough to keep their soil moist, not wet. Let their topsoil dry before applying water. They are drought tolerant too. The soil on which they are supposed to be planted must be well-drained, gravelly or sandy. And in terms of feeding, use liquid balanced fertilizers at least 2 or 3 times in the growing season especially during spring and summer seasons.

- Every part of this plant is toxic and it’s thorny also. One must be careful in handling them while caring. And therefore, it’s not safe to keep them nearby children or pets.
