Mexican Creeper is a high valued ornamental vine.

• Mexican Creeper Aka Antigonon Leptopus are vigorous fast-growing climbing vines. Native originated to Mexico, these vines may grow up to 12m in length if provided with proper care. They form a perfect dense truss of coral pink or red or white flowers. Mostly these Mexican Creeper blooms in the months of Summer. Their leaves are arrow-shaped pale-green coloured. They are excellent trellises and could be easily pruned in early spring or late winter. These all conditions make them perfect for outdoor trellises or arbours etc.

Mexican Creeper (Antigonon Leptopus) contains effective medicinal values too.

• Their extracts exhibit analgesic, anti-diabetic, anti-inflammatory, anti-thrombin and lipid peroxidation inhibitory activities. Various parts of this plant also come in use to treat various ailments such as pain, cough, dermatological problems, flu, diabetes and stomach-ache.

It’s also an easy to care plant. 

• Mexican Creepers thrive in the presence of full sunlight. Water them enough to keep soil moist, but not wet. The soil on which they are supposed to be planted must be well-drained. And the ideal temperature to ensure their healthy growth must be above 21 degree Celsius. In terms of feeding, use organic fertilizers, and apply them especially during summer.

• They are mild toxic and any kind of ingestion may cause stomach unrest, vomiting or nausea, etc. Therefore, it’s not safe to plant or place them near children or pets.
